School Changing Wellbeing
Wellbeing in Schools
I work with schools to support the wellbeing of both pupils and staff.
An understanding of how our thoughts and experience work can be transformative for young people. As pupils begin to see that they don't have to believe everything they think, and that difficult thoughts and feelings can pass, life often starts to feel a little easier.
Children discover that they have an innate capacity for resilience, wellbeing, and fresh thinking already within them. With age-appropriate metaphors, stories, and conversations, they begin to understand their experience in a new way. As a result, they may find it easier to concentrate in class, feel less affected by anxiety and pressure, and take friendship or playground challenges less personally.
When children connect more deeply with their own resilience and wellbeing, they naturally become more settled, present, and open to learning. They gain an inner resource that supports them not just at school, but throughout life.
Supporting Teachers and School Staff
Teachers today face enormous demands. Feelings of pressure, overwhelm, frustration, and stress can easily become part of everyday school life.
My work with staff creates space to explore a simple but profound question: where does our experience actually come from?
Could a teacher's state of mind influence how they experience teaching, their pupils, colleagues, and the challenges of the day? Is every thought we have an accurate reflection of reality?
As we explore these questions together, many teachers begin to discover a greater sense of clarity, perspective, and ease. They reconnect with the wellbeing and resilience that are already present beneath the noise of a busy mind. This often leads to healthier team dynamics, improved relationships, and a renewed enjoyment of their work.
What the Research Shows
Schools and organisations introducing the Three Principles Understanding have reported encouraging outcomes:
82% of young people report improved wellbeing (iHeart, UK)
70% show reduced stress and anxiety (WayUp, Switzerland)
87% of adults trained report sustained positive changes in mindset and relationships (CORE Academy, International)
Your State of Mind Affects Everything You Do
When we understand more deeply how our experience is created, we access the wisdom, resilience, and wellbeing that are already within us. From that place, teaching, learning, and life become less of a struggle and more of an opportunity to thrive.
